By: Alfred Octopus
Communism was a political theory developed by Karl Marx a German man in the mid 19th century. Marx wanted to end capitalism because he thought the workers needed better rights. After the surge of communism due to the industrial revolution Russia was the first ever Communist nation and making the USSR in 1922 after making there own empire in Eastern Europe. Here are all the former USSR Republics that are now independent countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Also Communism used not just be Europe here is some: Angola, Benin, Congo-Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Somalia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Mongolia, North Vietnam and South Yemen. Communism is also a big part of American history from the Cold War, Vietnam War what was against the North Vietnamese, there was American presidential candidates who ran as communists, communism also affected WW2 due to Nazi's wanting to turn Russia a fascist state and the USSR'S desire to knock out fascism. Communism has also affected Nuclear weapons and the daily threat of extinction. Now here are all the present day countries that are communist's now or at least claim to be: China, North Korea, Laos, Vietnam and Cuba. The only 1 who strictly follows Marx's guidelines is North Korea, one of America's enemy and they have been very close to nuclear war. North Korea has affected foreign relations and nuclear threats. The biggest communist nation though is China, a global superpower. China has affected trade, manufacturing, jobs and economics lots of other things. Communism has affected the past, the world and the Present. Communism may have been wounded but still has a big effect on the world.

An introduction to communism
By Dosa Lemur Face
communism: a political theory dreamt up by Karl Marx, that is supposed to get rid of social "classes", where all businesses and land is owned a controlled by the government
Communism includes thoughts of Anarchy and Marxism, and while it may seem like a good system in theory, it horribly flopped. (above, soviet union during the age of communism)
To explain this complicated government, lets start simple first. The word "communism" was first coined in 1776 by a writer and philosopher by the name of Victor D'Hupay,
in his book "Projet de commaute philosophe", which talks about a very important cornerstone of communist philosophy. Now that you know what communism means and what it's word
origins are, we can start talking about more modern communism. In the year 1917, Vladmir Lenin led a group of communists to russia's all russian soviet-congress and helped decide
wether to use communism or not. Lenin's slogan was "Peace, Bread, and land", and it appealed to many people. Though not everyone liked it. So Lenin had a plan, which is now called
"the great purge"(1937-1938). In it Lenin said he would execute anyone who opposed communism after a trial in court. Eventually, Lenin won the likes of everyone and Russia was controlled
by Vladmir Lenin. Well, now you know more about communism and how it works and who it was made by. I hope you enjoyed this article! I will be posting more soon. If you would Like to, You can check out more here:
